During a residency at Musée Boribana (Dakar/Senegal) in 2014, Uta Schneider worked together with 4 colleagues: Kiné Aw, Andrea Blumör, Khalifa Dieng and Camara Gueye.

We shared the studio space, our experience and started — beside our own topics — a dialogue without words but with drawings. Five series of altogether 87 drawings were shown in December 2016 at the ‹Galérie Nationale d’Art› in Dakar. In addition to the visual dialogue the exhibition showed works of each artist.

For the title ‹Fünf lignes Bideew› we used our three languages: German, French and Wolof as a reference for the cooperation between artists of different cultural origins: five-pointed star.
